Dates:  Thursday evenings, July 13th  and 27th.

Time:  6 to 8 p.m.

Cost:  $40 (10% discount on yarn for this project)

Supplies:  appropriate for the project you choose

Fable Mitts (The sample project is made with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino)

    • 50 grams of DK yarn
    • Size 6 knitting needles (or correct size for gauge)
    • 24 stitches and 28 rows are 4” in stockinette stitch
  • 2 small stitch holders
  • Tapestry needle
  • 2 decorative buttons
  • Stitch markers

You’ll learn how to make a ribbing, m1 stitch, slipped stitches, buttonholes and seaming as you create these cozy mitts.

Color Tipped Blossom Beanie (The sample project is made with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino-can be made with or without the accent color.)  

    • 70-165 yards of a dk or sport weight yarn. (Yardage depends on size of hat/pattern is for premie to large adult size.)
    • US size 3 and 4 circular needles appropriate for the size hat. (12-20” cable) Or size to create gauge
      • 24 stitches is 4” in stockinette stitch
    • US size 4 double point needles.
    • Tapestry needle

Students will learn a cable cast on, as well as knit in the round, increase, decrease and work with double pointed needles. 

Skill level:  students must be able to cast on, knit and purl, and make a gauge swatch.                                                                                                                                Pre-Work: Make a gauge swatch in your chosen yarn.
